Those who study near-death experiences long enough are bound to come across the concept of reincarnation. The question is, is it real? Do we experience multiple mortal lives? In this episode we address that question.
After sharing the NDE of Karen Shaeffer, we discuss the after effects many experiencers have following their visit to the other side.
And this isn't the stuff of paranormal fiction, either.
Ricky Randolph went hunting alone, and as one who goes out into the woods alone without telling anyone is want to do, he slips, and falls from an eighty-foot cliff.
But rather than being the end of his story, it's just the beginning. What does a blind person see when they have a near-death experience? Vicki Noratuk, who went blind since shortly after her birth, can tell us.
Learn more about Vicki at http://ndestories.org/vicki-noratuk/ If you haven't studied near-death experiences, this idea of being one with everything may sound a little odd. But it is clearly one of the fundamental aspects of the near-death experience.
This is the 12th of the 12 fundamentals. If you're just beginning your study of NDEs, you may want to listen to this and the previous 11 episodes to get the wide view of what we're talking about. Once you understand (as much as we mere mortals can, anyway) these twelve events/ideas, you'll begin to recognize near-death experiences when people tell them to you. When you speak to someone whose been in a coma, or passed out at the hospital, or whatever, and they tell you they had the strangest dream, if you've listened to these first 12 episodes, you'll likely be able to discern whether or not the person may have had a near-death experience. And let me say, if you do listen to someone tell about their experience, please, PLEASE, don't shut them down or downplay what they've experienced. They're probably feeling quite vulnerable or confused, and if you have the empathy to listen and essentially say, "Thank you for telling me about this. Tell me more!" Then it will help them a TON in reconnecting and reorienting with both this world and the next.
How does time pass in the spirit world? Do we perceive time the same as here?
The short answer is, we probably don't perceive it at all.
There are few aspects to the near-death experience that have had a more profound effect on the way I live my life than the concept of the life review.
Far more than your life flashing before your eyes, in some ways the life review may someday teach you more than your actual life did. We're still discussing the basics today, this time focusing on the light. More than just brightness emanating from from a bunch of protons, the light discussed in near-death experiences is full of much, much more.
Let's talk about the tunnel. Possibly one of the most commonly known elements of a near-death experience. In this episode, we read the remarkable NDE of Grace Bubulka-Hatmaker.
The second common element in a near-death experience after Out of the Body is the void. I was tempted to save this one for later, but it really is quite a common experience. It may be a little harder an element to swallow at first, but if you become familiar with the concept, and read many examples of people's experience with it, it's likely to become quite comfortable.
